ABOUT
Carlos
As a Consultant at Karp Strategies, Carlos performs leading-edge, mixed-method analysis to promote better planning practices and more inclusive neighborhoods. He draws upon his prior work at the Regional Plan Association, which focused on urban planning issues ranging from neighborhood planning and development to resiliency and infrastructure. Carlos also served as the Equitable Public Space Fellow at Design Trust for Public Space, where his work ranged from designing and leading workshops with members of the cultural community on the North Shore of Staten Island in order to better organize and respond to development around the ferry terminal to scoping and planning an asset mapping and community planning project in partnership with South Bronx Unite. At Karp Strategies, Carlos leads stakeholder engagement and community economic development projects. Carlos holds a Master’s in Urban Planning from Hunter College and a Bachelor’s in Geography from Vassar College. In his free time, Carlos savors delicious food, the company of friends and loved ones, and quality time with his cat Kiki.
