Joseph Sutkowi joined Karp Strategies as a Consultant with a diverse background in philanthropy and policy analysis. For Living Cities, New York City Council, and Citizens Union, Joseph solved complex policy questions around economic development, transportation, infrastructure, municipal procurement, community development, and voting access. Years of foundation relations work for a major research university honed an ability to translate complex and technical concepts across audiences, while securing millions in private funding for the institution. He values practical and inclusive approaches to transforming the urban experience. Joseph is known for his drive to make projects and decisions actionable, a healthy respect for data, and a thoughtful eye toward equity.
Joseph graduated from the University of Michigan Ford School of Public Policy with a Bachelor’s in Public Policy, focused on Community and Economic Development, and from New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service with a Master’s in Public Administration.
