ABOUT
Harrison Crist
AREAs of expertise
With experience in climate advocacy, criminal justice reform, and mental health policy, Harrison brings to Karp Strategies a history of mobilizing resources to achieve equitable outcomes. In his previous role as a Project Monitor at the Department of Behavioral Health in Washington, DC, he worked to improve the city’s response to the opioid overdose epidemic. There, he implemented and oversaw innovative behavioral health programs to improve connections to care for individuals with opioid use disorder. Before that, he worked to advance a national policing reform agenda by coordinating research and advocacy stakeholders and conducting extensive policy analysis.
Currently pursuing his Master of Urban Planning at New York University, Harrison seeks to apply his expertise in public policy design to develop an urban planning practice that prioritizes equity in place-based interventions. As a graduate analyst at Karp Strategies, Harrison creates impact through data visualization, research, and policy analysis. Outside of work, he loves to cook, collect more books than he can read, and explore all the great New York City parks where his dog can run around.
