Gopinath leverages the power of data-driven technology and analytics together with the collective wisdom of communities to make urban decisions.

As an Analyst, Gopinath leverages his experience working with geospatial analytics for public, private, and nonprofit agencies in the USA and India to understand the interactions between people and their physical, social, and economic ecosystems. At Karp Strategies, he supports development efforts by deploying creative means of data collection, analyses, and visualization. Previously, as a GIS Fellow at the Pratt Center for Community Development, he managed the development of “Neighborhood Data Portal,” a web platform aimed at democratizing data. He received a Masters in City and Regional Planning at Pratt Institute where his research focused on devising participatory alternatives for land use governance in Indian cities. Recently, he taught himself to ride a skateboard and is excited to ride it to work.
