AREAs of expertise

Huw is an Associate at Karp Strategies. He brings extensive government experience, having worked across education, workforce development and health programs for the Mayor of Greater Manchester in the UK. During this time, he helped set up and led an adolescent mental health program that is now operating in five cities across the country. Most recently, Huw served as a Dukakis Fellow in the Office of the Governor for the State of Michigan, where he worked on the state’s industrial decarbonization strategy.

At Karp Strategies, he applies the economic development research he conducted at Harvard University and the University of Manchester. He recently received a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and also holds a Bachelor’s in Modern Languages from the University of Oxford. In his spare time, he dances tango and attempts to fall gracefully from the occasional bouldering wall.
