With degrees in Economics and English from Kenyon College, he specializes in statistical methods for economic analysis, geospatial analysis, and public policy. His expertise includes leveraging communications to effectively convey complex information and insights across various projects, ensuring that data-driven decision-making is accessible and actionable. Joey has contributed significantly to housing and economic development projects, such as identifying potential industry park sites for the Knox Area Development Foundation and managing government relations and funding for affordable housing development at The Jericho Project. His research for the Knox Area Development Foundation directly informed opportunities related to Intel’s $20 billion semiconductor plant in New Albany, Ohio, where he collaborated with stakeholders to evaluate development costs and produce comprehensive planning recommendations.
As an Analyst at Karp Strategies, Joey combines his planning background and technical expertise in geospatial analysis to contribute to economic development projects. His work involves conducting thorough research, using GIS to provide spatial insights, and applying strategic thinking to urban planning challenges. Outside of work, Joey enjoys playing the guitar, reading, and playing rugby on the weekends. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, he is fluent in Spanish.
