AREAs of expertise

Kelly Eta is a Graduate Analyst at Karp Strategies and is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Urban Planning at Columbia University. Originally from Ekok in Cameroon’s Southwest region, Kelly’s passion for urban affairs fuels his ambition to shape urban planning in one of the world’s most dynamic cities—New York City. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Geography, with minors in Philosophy and English, and a concentration in Urban Studies from Macalester College.

Kelly envisions an urban future where public policy combined with rigorous data analysis ensures that no community is prioritized over another. This vision has led him to contribute his expertise in both the private and public sectors. As an Asset Management and Data Analysis Intern at Metro Transit in Minneapolis, he developed a predictive system for train part failures and analyzed the long-term impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on ridership patterns in the Twin Cities.

An avid museum enthusiast, Kelly also enjoys movies focused on crime investigation and suspect analysis.
