As an Analyst at Karp Strategies, Shweta brings experience working on community development and stakeholder engagement projects across NYC neighborhoods, including Jackson Heights, the Rockaways, and other Environmental Justice Areas. Prior to joining the firm, Shweta served as a fellow at the Fund for the City of New York, where she worked with Districts 2030 NYC to develop retrofitting strategies for buildings in order to reduce carbon emissions and engaged with immigrant communities to inform housing stability strategies amid rapidly changing and gentrifying neighborhoods.

At Karp Strategies, Shweta leverages her architectural training and planning experience to support sustainable development and resilience projects. Her current clients include the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and the New York City Economic Development Corporation. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Sir J.J. College of Architecture, University of Mumbai, and a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from Pratt Institute. During weekends, Shweta loves exploring New York City neighborhoods and running across City bridges!
