Touring the Dept. of Sanitation with ABNY

How does a city of 8 million people manage icy roads, fallen trees, and trash pickup in the midst of a snowstorm? Yesterday, Karp Strategies’ Jose Medrano and Tania Marinos took a tour of the Department of Sanitation with Commissioner Kathryn Garcia and ABNY.

We learned firsthand how the New York City Department of Sanitation keeps snow at bay, heard about the Commissioner’s new plan to consolidate private carters, and stood at the foot of the famed Spring Street salt shed.
